Architecture
If you are looking for a city with plenty of different examples of amazing architecture, Paris is the perfect spot for you. On entire area of the city you can admire nice buildings from many different periods of time. At the start you should go for a trip to the Notre Dame cathedral, legendary, Gothic church, build in the middle of medieval times. Also the inside of the temple is astonishing, you will find there amazing interior design in Gothic style as well. A lot younger, but also beautiful church is the Sacre Coeur basilica, founded in the beginning of twentieth century in a Romanesque Revival style. It looks exactly like a castle for from the fairy tale for little girls. And the most popular building in Paris, and also the symbol of the city, is the Eiffel Tower. It was constructed in the last decade of nineteenth century for a World Fairy, and was suppose to be deconstructed short after that. Fortunately tower is standing in Paris still, it is the most popular place for travelers from whole around the world.
Art galleries
Because of the fact, that Paris used to be inhabited by the top artists in the world, mainly during the nineteenth century, nowadays you will find in there a lot of interesting paintings. The most popular place for that is the Louvre, museum situated in the former residence of royals. It’s the most popular attraction us the Portrait of Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci. In Louvre you find also huge collection of Renaissance and Baroque artists, such as Rembrandt, Rubens or Caravaggio. Another place to admire amazing painting is the Museum d’Orsay. In there you will find the biggest collection of impressionism style, made by Renoir, Degas, Monet or van Gogh. If you better like more recent art, you can go to Pompidou center, huge collection of works by Dali, Picasso, Magritte or Matisse.
While being in Paris you shouldn’t also miss the attractions situated outside the metropolis, like Versailles for examples. This small city is a home for huge complex of the Palaces of the same name, former residence of royal. In another part of suburbia you will find Disneyland, the biggest amusement park in France (check here).
